Three Books to Instill Self Confidence and Creativity

These books are so much fun to read and are sure to make you laugh and smile! It’s so important to constantly be teaching kids the importance of confidence and self worth. These books highlight creativity and ingenuity, even though people might have doubts a long the way. I love each of these books and have read them countless times! Every time I read them to my nanny kids, we always laugh and recite the rhymes together.

Title: Iggy Peck, Architect
Author: Andrea Beaty

Iggy Peck is a force to be reckoned with! He is passionate and creative. Whatever is around him he turns into a unique and exciting building. Despite his teacher’s objections, Iggy continues to follow his passion for architecture and ultimately saves the day. This book is a fun read, with interesting pictures and shows that perseverance and passion pays off. I highly recommend Andrea Beaty’s other books as well! Ada Twist, Scientist and Rosie Revere, Engineer are equally wonderful and I couldn’t choose which one to highlight in this review.

Title: If I Built a Car
Author: Chris Van Dusen

I absolutely love this book and it has sparked so many fun and creative conversations with my nanny kid. For boys or girls, this is a fun story that sparks the imagination and makes you realize that the possibilities are endless! This book makes you want to invent things and is a delight time and time again.

Title: Giraffes Can’t Dance
Author: Giles Andreae

Poor Gerald gets made fun of for being clumsy and awkward when he tries to dance in this sweet book with great rhymes. With a little inspiration Gerald finds his tune and shows all the other animals that he is in fact a great dancer. This is a great story that promotes the unique traits of an individual, that make us all special in our own way.
